How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Field Service Technician

Salary: £35,000 per annum DOE + Excellent Benefits
Location: Central London – One hour radius
    Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Great Coffee. Great Service. Great Opportunity.

Are you a hands-on, technically minded person who enjoys working with customers and solving problems?

We are looking for a Field Service Technician to join an established and growing coffee services business, covering Central London and the surrounding areas, typically within a one-hour travel radius.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with existing coffee machine, electrical, plumbing or field service experience – but equally, if you have the right attitude, common sense and a willingness to learn, full training and support will be provided.

    About the Company

For nearly 40 years, our client has been dedicated to bringing premium coffee experiences to workplaces across the UK.

Starting as a family-founded business, they have grown into a trusted supplier of premium hot and cold drink solutions to businesses nationwide.

    Their philosophy is simple:

    Great coffee. Great service.

    About the Role

As a Field Service Technician, you will primarily be responsible for installing coffee machines and associated equipment, ensuring everything is installed correctly, fully operational and ready to deliver the quality and reliability customers expect.

This is a field-based, van-based role, with your day spent travelling between customer sites across Central London and surrounding areas.

Typically, you will complete around three appointments per day, giving you plenty of variety and customer interaction.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    * Install, servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial coffee machines and associated equipment.

    * Servicing water dispensers and other appliances within the company's product portfolio.

    * Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs.

    * Providing professional and friendly customer service at every visit.

    * Building strong relationships with customers and acting as a trusted technical representative of the business.

    * Managing your daily appointments and maintaining accurate service records.

    * Working closely with the wider technical and service team.

    * Contributing ideas and supporting the company's commitment to continuous improvement.

    What Are We Looking For?

We're particularly interested in people who are practical, reliable and technically minded, with a genuine desire to solve problems and help customers.

Experience within coffee equipment, vending, catering equipment, electrical engineering, plumbing, white goods or a similar field service environment would be advantageous.

The following would also be beneficial:

    Electrical competency/training.

Plumbing experience, ideally to WRAS installer standard or similar.

Previous experience working independently in a customer-facing field-based role.

Don't have all the above? Don't worry.

For the right person, our client is happy to provide training and development to help you build the technical skills required for the role.

We're Looking for Someone Who Is:

    Practical and hands-on.

    A natural problem solver.

    Customer-focused and professional.

    Reliable and well organised.

    Comfortable working independently.

    Confident communicating with customers.

Positive, adaptable and willing to learn.

Someone who takes pride in doing a job properly.

    What's On Offer?

£35,000 basic salary, depending on experience.

Annual salary reviews/increases to reward loyalty and performance.

Potential discretionary bonus based on team performance.

    Company van.

Annual holiday allowance that increases year-on-year.

Contributions towards company lunches and travel.

    Ongoing technical training and development.

    Genuine career progression opportunities.
