How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Produce detailed functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria and supporting analysis documentation.
Maintain requirements traceability and manage changes to requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
Challenge requirements where appropriate to ensure that proposed solutions address the underlying business need rather than simply replicating existing processes.
Process Analysis and DesignAnalyse and document As-Is business processes, identifying inefficiencies, pain points, opportunities and constraints.
Design To-Be processes that support new or enhanced product capabilities.
Use process mapping to communicate business processes, system interactions, user journeys and proposed changes clearly to business and technical stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to simplify, automate or improve processes through software and AI-enabled capabilities.
Assess the impact of proposed product changes across existing processes, users, products and client journeys.
Software and Product DevelopmentWork closely with development squads throughout the software development lifecycle, from discovery and requirements definition through to development, testing and release.
Act as the bridge between business stakeholders, Product Managers and technical development teams.
Develop sufficiently detailed functional specifications to enable bespoke software solutions to be designed and developed effectively.
Define functional behaviour, business rules, workflows, user interactions, data requirements and system responses.
Develop wireframes and other lightweight solution designs to illustrate proposed user experiences and functionality.
Collaborate with developers and technical specialists to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguity during development.
Review emerging solutions and prototypes to ensure they remain aligned with agreed requirements and business outcomes.
Support developers and testers with requirement clarification, acceptance criteria and expected business behaviour.
Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, demonstrations, reviews and other Agile development activities where required.
Product Roadmap and PlanningSupport the Product Manager in shaping and maintaining product roadmaps across multiple products.

Assess the value, complexity, dependencies and potential impact of proposed product changes to support prioritisation decisions.
Identify opportunities for reuse and common capabilities across products and development squads.
Provide analysis and insight to support product investment and roadmap decisions.
AI-Enabled SolutionsWork closely with the AI technology partner to understand and translate AI capabilities into practical product and client solutions.
Support the identification and definition of AI-enabled use cases based on client needs and business problems.
Define business and functional requirements for AI-enabled features, including user interactions, expected outcomes, business rules and acceptance criteria.
Assess how AI capabilities integrate with existing products, processes and user journeys.
Identify risks, assumptions, dependencies and constraints associated with proposed AI-enabled solutions.
Work with Product Managers and technical teams to ensure AI capabilities are translated into deliverable product requirements rather than remaining at conceptual level.
Stakeholder ManagementBuild strong relationships with senior business stakeholders, clients, Product Managers, developers, designers and technical specialists.
Work effectively across multiple products and development squads, managing competing priorities and stakeholder expectations.
Facilitate discussions between business and technical stakeholders and translate complex concepts into clear, shared requirements.
Challenge stakeholders constructively where requirements are unclear, conflicting or not aligned with product objectives.

Testing and Delivery SupportDefine acceptance criteria and support the development of appropriate test scenarios.
Work with development and QA teams to ensure delivered functionality meets agreed requirements.
Support functional, integration and user acceptance testing as required.
Investigate defects and requirement gaps, helping determine whether issues relate to requirements, design or implementation.
Support product releases by ensuring requirements, acceptance criteria and stakeholder expectations are appropriately understood.
Validate delivered functionality against the intended business outcome.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience. Relevant Business Analysis qualification such as BCS or IIBA certification.
Ability to produce detailed functional specifications that provide sufficient clarity for development teams.
Strong process modelling and business process analysis skills, including the ability to define As-Is and To-Be processes.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and Agile product development practices.
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple products, squads and stakeholder groups.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex problems and develop practical solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and multiple concurrent workstreams.
Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, data flows and modern application architectures.
Significant experience working as a Senior Business Analyst within a software development or product development environment.
Proven experience gathering, analysing, documenting and managing complex business and functional requirements.
Demonstrable experience working on bespoke software or application development rather than solely implementing off-the-shelf packages.
Experience producing wireframes, user journeys or other solution design artefacts to communicate proposed functionality.
Experience translating business needs into user stories, functional requirements, acceptance criteria and actionable development work.
Experience supporting product roadmaps, prioritisation or development planning.
Experience within the legal or financial services sector.
Experience working with AI-enabled products or solutions.
Experience working directly with an AI technology partner or AI product development team.

Experience working with third-party technology providers or development partners.
Experience working within a legal or financial services environment would be advantageous; however, strong experience of software development and working with bespoke applications is more important
