How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Multi-Skills Bricklaying Tutor (Full Training Provided)

    Rose Hill, South London

    £33,000 - £37,000 + Full Teacher Training + 36 Days Holiday + Pension + Career Progression

Are you an experienced Bricklayer or Multi-Skills Construction professional looking to move off the tools and into a rewarding career where you can pass on your skills?

Do you want to work Monday to Friday, receive full teacher training and develop a long-term career in education while helping young people build practical skills and confidence?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, friendly training provider supporting young people who may not have thrived in mainstream education. With a strong focus on individual support, personal development and practical work skills, the organisation helps learners develop their abilities and prepare for future employment.

In this role, you will deliver practical bricklaying and multi-skills construction training to learners aged 16-25. You will demonstrate construction techniques, supervise practical tasks and help learners develop the skills and confidence needed to progress towards a career in the construction industry. You will also support young people with different abilities and additional learning needs.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Bricklayer or Multi-Skills Construction professional with strong practical industry experience. A Level 2 qualification or above would be beneficial but is not essential.

The organisation is looking for someone who is reliable, takes initiative and genuinely enjoys helping young people succeed. Experience supporting learners with special educational needs would be advantageous, but a willingness to learn and the right attitude are equally important.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced construction professional to step away from the tools, develop a new career in education and make a genuine difference to young people's lives.

    The Role:
*Delivering practical bricklaying and multi-skills construction training to learners aged 16-25
*Supporting young people with different abilities and additional learning needs, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
*Helping learners develop practical and work-related skills to prepare for future employment
*Working with small groups of approximately 12-15 learners, supported by a Learning Support Assistant
*Full teacher training and assessor qualification provided
*Monday to Friday, full-time, based on site in Rose Hill, South London

    The Person:
*Experienced Bricklayer or Multi-Skills Construction professional with hands-on industry experience
*Strong practical bricklaying skills and the ability to demonstrate construction techniques
*Level 2 qualification or above beneficial but not essential
*Patient, adaptable and able to engage with young people from different backgrounds
*Genuine passion for helping young people develop their skills, confidence and future career prospects
*Positive attitude and a genuine desire to build a long-term career in training
*No previous teaching qualification required - full training will be provided
