How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

WSR is recruiting for a Service Administrator for our reputable client in Leeds.
    Location: Leeds
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
    Working Pattern: Fully office-based
    Service Administrator Role Overview:
We’re looking for an organised and proactive Service Administrator to join a busy service team in Leeds. This is a varied role where you’ll provide day-to-day support to field-based engineers, customers and the wider service function, helping to keep jobs organised, schedules on track and administration running smoothly.
It’s a great opportunity for someone with solid administrative experience who enjoys a busy, hands-on environment. Previous experience within engineering, technical services or a similar setting would be useful, but isn’t essential, as full training will be provided.
    Service Administrator Key Responsibilities:
You’ll be involved in a broad range of service administration, including:
    * Coordinating service calls and supporting the scheduling of engineer visits
    * Preparing and issuing engineer work orders, diaries and relevant documentation
    * Processing engineer timesheets, reports and daily working hours
    * Setting up new customer accounts and completing the necessary administration and checks
    * Raising purchase orders, processing credits and supporting invoicing
    * Liaising with customers and site contacts to arrange works and keep them updated
    * Maintaining accurate maintenance records and monitoring planned visits
    * Producing regular service reports, including engineer hours, transactions and contract information
    * Monitoring customer KPIs and helping ensure service commitments are met
    * Supporting the preparation of straightforward customer quotations
    * Keeping accurate records of engineer holidays, sickness, lieu days and other absences
    * Assisting with engineer on-call rotas and general team coordination
    * Following up on outstanding invoices where required
    * Supporting engineers with PPE and workwear requests
Service Administrator Skills, Experience and Attributes:
    * Previous administrative experience, ideally within a service, engineering or technical environment
    * Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks
    * Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to administration
    * Confident written and verbal communication skills
    * A customer-focused approach and confidence liaising with different contacts
    * Comfortable working as part of a busy, collaborative team
    * Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
    * Basic financial awareness would be beneficial, although training can be provided
    * Previous SAP experience would be advantageous but is not essential
    Service Administrator Benefits (After probation):
    * Holidays: 25 days (with increases based on service).
    * Health: Private healthcare, digital GP access, and mental health support.
    * Enhanced Pay: Generous maternity, paternity, and sick pay.
    * Secure Future: Pension plan, income protection, and life assurance (4x salary).
    * Employee Rewards: Recognition platform, discounts, Cycle 2 Work scheme, and more!
This is a varied position where you’ll become an important part of the day-to-day service operation, working closely with engineers, customers and internal teams. You’ll receive full training and have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills within a busy service environment.
