How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

B2B Acquisition | Lead Generation | Digital Campaigns | CRM & HubSpot | Membership Growth

Help Build the Next Chapter of TrustMark's Growth

Can you turn data into opportunities, digital campaigns into conversions and prospects into long-term members?

Are you a commercially minded digital acquisition specialist who enjoys building something new, testing what works and seeing measurable results?

TrustMark, the UK's only Government-endorsed quality scheme for work carried out in and around the home, is entering an exciting period of transformation.

We're evolving how we engage with trade businesses, creating a more direct, digitally driven approach to membership growth while strengthening our role in quality assurance and consumer protection.

We're now looking for a Digital Acquisition Specialist to help build this capability from the ground up.

This is a newly created, hands-on opportunity for someone who combines B2B lead generation, digital marketing, CRM and conversion optimisation with the initiative to turn ideas into effective acquisition campaigns.

    The Role at a Glance

    Digital Acquisition Specialist
Basingstoke | Hybrid – Approximately 3 Days Office
    £38,000–£43,000 + Performance Bonus
    Full-Time | Permanent

    Reporting to: Propositions Director
    Department: Propositions

Start: ASAP – Immediate availability or a short notice period advantageous

Sector: Membership | Quality Assurance | Construction | Home Improvement | Consumer Protection

Your Background / Skills: B2B Digital Acquisition, Performance Marketing, Lead Generation, Email Marketing, CRM, HubSpot, Prospect Data, Campaign Management, Marketing Funnels, Conversion Optimisation, GDPR, Data Analysis, Stakeholder Engagement.

    About TrustMark

TrustMark is the only UK Government-endorsed quality scheme for home improvements, covering everything from kitchens and bathrooms to energy efficiency, low-carbon measures and wider construction-related work.

As a not-for-profit organisation, our purpose is to drive quality, raise standards and strengthen consumer confidence across the industry.

Working with Scheme Providers, certification bodies, trade associations and businesses throughout the UK, we help consumers identify businesses committed to recognised standards of competence and quality.

We're now embarking on a significant transformation, expanding beyond our traditional strengths in energy efficiency and government-funded programmes to engage more directly with the wider home improvement market.

And that's where you come in.

    The Opportunity

As our Digital Acquisition Specialist, you'll play a central role in developing a new B2B acquisition capability.

Working closely with the Propositions Director, Scheme Development, Operations and Marketing teams, you'll identify prospective trade businesses, build targeted campaigns and develop effective journeys that convert interest into TrustMark registrations.

You'll also contribute to the introduction and development of our CRM capability, helping establish the processes, data and reporting needed to support sustainable membership growth.

    What You'll Be Responsible For:

B2B Lead Generation & Prospect Development

    • Identify and build prospect pipelines using trade directories, competent person registers, certification bodies and other structured data sources
    • Research new audiences and opportunities across the home improvement and construction sectors
    • Maintain accurate, segmented and actionable prospect data

    Digital Campaigns & Conversion

    • Plan, launch and optimise targeted email, digital marketing and direct outreach campaigns
    • Develop effective acquisition journeys, messaging and campaign sequences
    • Test and refine approaches to improve engagement, lead quality and conversion rates
    • Work with the wider team to communicate TrustMark's membership value proposition

    CRM, Data & Performance

    • Support the development and implementation of CRM processes, including the planned introduction of HubSpot
    • Track pipeline activity, campaign performance, conversion rates and acquisition costs
    • Use performance insights to improve targeting, efficiency and results
    • Ensure outreach and prospect data management comply with GDPR requirements

    Stakeholder Collaboration & Delivery

    • Work with Scheme Development and relevant providers to support competency verification
    • Coordinate with Operations to ensure a smooth transition from acquisition to registration
    • Build productive relationships with certification bodies, trade associations and other partners
    • Contribute ideas and market feedback as TrustMark develops its new acquisition model

    About You

You'll bring practical experience in B2B digital acquisition, performance marketing, membership growth or lead generation, with evidence of building pipelines and converting prospects into customers or members.

We're particularly interested in someone who has helped develop or improve acquisition processes rather than simply inherited established campaigns.

    What You'll Bring:

    Essential:

    • Proven experience in B2B lead generation, digital acquisition or membership growth
    • Hands-on experience planning and delivering targeted digital and email campaigns
    • Strong CRM knowledge, including prospect management, segmentation and reporting
    • Experience building lead pipelines from databases, directories or structured data sources
    • Confidence analysing campaign performance, conversion funnels and acquisition KPIs
    • Experience testing messaging, channels and outreach strategies to improve results
    • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the customer acquisition journey
    • Sound knowledge of GDPR and compliant B2B marketing practices
    • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills
    • A proactive, independent approach with the confidence to build processes from scratch

    Highly Desirable:

    • Experience with HubSpot, CRM implementation or marketing automation
    • Background in membership organisations, certification, regulated services or B2B subscriptions
    • Knowledge of construction, home improvement, trade associations or competent person schemes
    • Experience developing acquisition journeys in a growing or transforming organisation

    The Person Behind the Experience

This is a role for someone who enjoys both the creative and analytical sides of acquisition.

You'll be curious about what motivates businesses to join, commercially aware enough to recognise opportunities and practical enough to turn your thinking into campaigns that deliver.

You'll be comfortable working independently, experimenting with new approaches and sharing honest feedback about what's working and what needs to change.

Above all, you'll enjoy the opportunity to build something rather than simply maintain it.

    Why Join TrustMark?

This is an opportunity to join a nationally recognised, purpose-driven organisation at a pivotal stage in its development.

    • Take ownership of a newly created digital acquisition function
    • Help shape TrustMark's evolving membership growth strategy
    • Develop acquisition campaigns, customer journeys and CRM capabilities from the ground up
    • Work closely with senior leaders on a major organisational transformation
    • Make a measurable contribution to growth and long-term sustainability
    • Support an organisation with a genuine role in improving standards and consumer protection

If you're ready to combine digital acquisition expertise with the opportunity to build, influence and deliver meaningful growth, we'd love to hear from you.
