How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Our client is a highly regarded residential developer, recognised for delivering exceptional homes and creating thriving communities. With a strong reputation for quality, customer satisfaction and employee development, this is an excellent opportunity to join an established and successful construction team.

    The Role

Working alongside the Site Manager and wider construction team, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of a new-build residential development, with particular emphasis on internal fit-out, programme management, quality control and customer completions.

    Key Responsibilities

Manage multiple plots simultaneously, ideally 10–15 properties at varying stages of construction.

Oversee internal fit-out works, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring plots progress efficiently towards completion.

Prepare for and coordinate NHBC key stage inspections, ensuring compliance with current standards.

Create, manage and distribute internal build programmes, monitoring progress against key deadlines.

Coordinate trades, materials and resources to achieve build targets.

Oversee plot progression, snagging, CML inspections and customer handovers.

Ensure construction works comply with current Building Regulations and quality standards.

Support Part L compliance, including photographic evidence required for BREL reporting.

Maintain excellent health and safety standards across the development.

Work collaboratively with the Senior Site Manager, Site Manager and wider commercial and technical teams.

Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach throughout the construction process.

    About You

We are seeking a motivated, technically competent Assistant Site Manager with a proven background in residential housebuilding.

    Essential Experience & Qualifications

Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager or in a comparable residential site management role.

Strong experience managing internal fit-out stages across multiple residential plots.

Good knowledge of NHBC standards, key stage inspections and Building Regulations.

Experience creating and managing short-term construction programmes.

Understanding of Part L requirements and associated photographic evidence for BREL reports.

Experience working on traditional build residential developments.

Strong health and safety awareness and excellent organisational skills.

Confident communicating with subcontractors, management teams and customers.

Relevant CSCS, SMSTS or SSSTS and First Aid qualifications.

    Desirable Experience

Previous experience working for a national PLC or volume housebuilder.

    Timber frame construction experience.

Temporary Works, scaffold or mobile crane awareness/training.

    General understanding of superstructure construction.

Candidates from reputable small and medium-sized residential developers are equally encouraged to apply.

    What’s on Offer

Competitive basic salary and attractive benefits package.

Company car or car allowance, subject to package.

    Performance-related bonus, subject to package.

Opportunity to join a successful, award-winning PLC housebuilder.

    Ongoing training and professional development.

Excellent opportunities for career progression into Site Management.

Supportive and experienced construction management team.
