Every order only becomes a sale once it arrives intact, on time, and fully documented. You will run the movement of food, drink, and grocery products from warehouse to customer—domestic and export—so stock turns, margins hold, and buyers reorder. In a small trading team, your decisions on carrier, cost, and timing show up the same week in delivery performance and customer trust.
Performance Objectives
Book, track, and close outbound loads so agreed delivery windows are met and exceptions are resolved before they become claims.
Cut avoidable freight cost by matching mode, carrier, and consolidation to order size, destination, and service promise.
Keep export and food-transport paperwork complete and on time—commercial documents, carrier instructions, and temperature or condition records—so shipments clear without delay.
Coordinate warehouse, sales, and carriers so pick, load, and dispatch dates stay aligned and customers get accurate ETAs.
Log incidents, shortages, and damage the same day and drive them to a documented outcome with carrier and customer.
Report weekly on on-time delivery, freight spend versus plan, and open exceptions so leaders can act on lanes and service levels.
Environment & Resources
You sit with operations and sales in a compact wholesale and export business, reporting to the operations lead. You will use the order and warehouse system, carrier portals, and shared shipment trackers—not a large logistics department. Carrier relationships and a practical freight budget are already in place; you own day-to-day booking, communication, and the accuracy of the transport record.
Essential Qualifications
Proven transport administration for food, grocery, or other time-sensitive goods, including booking, tracking, and proof of delivery.
Hands-on export documentation and carrier instruction writing that has kept shipments moving across borders.
Experience comparing rates and service, then choosing the option that protects both cost and the customer promise.
Clear written updates to warehouse, sales, and customers when plans change.
Comfort with spreadsheets and shipment systems to produce a reliable weekly performance view.
Role Selling Points
Own the full transport desk—booking through claims—not a single slice of a large control tower.
See the effect of your work in delivered orders, recovered costs, and repeat buyers.
Work across domestic and export lanes in food and grocery, where condition and timing matter.
Shape how a growing trading business buys and manages freight as volume rises.
