How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Getting food production right starts with precision, consistency and attention to detail. As a Filler Operative, you'll help keep production running smoothly, ensuring every product meets the right standards for quality, weight and food safety.

You'll be working for an established food manufacturer producing high-quality meat products, operating specialist machinery and playing an important part in the daily production process. Full training is provided, making this a good opportunity whether you already have food manufacturing experience or are looking to develop new skills.

    What’s in it for you

Shifts pattern, working 4 days on and 2 days off.
28 days' annual leave, including bank holidays.
Free lunch provided every working day.
    Free onsite parking.
Full training on machinery, production processes and food safety procedures.
Your responsibilities as a Filler Operative

Set up and operate filling machinery to achieve production targets and maintain consistent product quality.
Check product weights, consistency and appearance against required specifications.
Monitor production, identify quality issues and report equipment faults promptly.
Record batch codes, complete production paperwork and ensure accurate product labelling.
Maintain clean machinery and work areas, following hygiene procedures and keeping meat and meat-free products separate.
Follow food safety and health and safety procedures, including using the correct PPE.
What we’re looking for in a Filler Operative

Previous food production or manufacturing experience would be advantageous, although full training is provided.
Ability to operate production equipment and follow written instructions after training.
Ability to complete accurate production records and quality checks.
Physical capability to carry out manual tasks in a busy manufacturing environment.
A valid driving licence and flexibility to work additional hours during busy periods.
Working hours: Shifts pattern, working 4 days on and 2 days off.

If you're looking for a permanent, hands-on role in food manufacturing with full training and a consistent working pattern, apply onine today for this Filler Operative position.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role
