How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Organic Social Media | Instagram & Facebook | Content Creation | Short-Form Video | Community Engagement
Love Travel? Live and Breathe Social Media? Let's Talk.
At Not Just Travel, we're all about making travel more personal, exciting and accessible through expert, one-to-one travel planning.
And social media plays a huge part in sharing that story.
We're looking for a creative, confident and commercially minded Social Media Executive to bring our brand to life across social channels, create engaging content and help our Travel Consultants build their own social media presence.
This is a varied, hands-on opportunity for someone who loves creating content, understands what makes audiences engage and knows that successful social media is about more than likes and followers.
Think great storytelling, engaging video, genuine conversations and content that inspires people to explore the world.
    The Role at a Glance
    Social Media Executive
Hybrid Working | Christchurch, Dorset (3 days onsite)
Competitive Salary DOE + Excellent Benefits
    Full-Time | Permanent
Reporting to: Campaigns & Content Manager
    The Opportunity
You'll manage our customer-facing organic social media activity, currently focused on Facebook and Instagram, ensuring our content supports campaigns, builds brand trust and encourages enquiries.
But there's another important part to this role.
You'll also support our community of Travel Consultants, giving them the content, tools, training and confidence to use social media more effectively in their own businesses.
So, if you enjoy creating content as much as helping others succeed with it, you'll have plenty of opportunity to do both.
    What You'll Be Doing
    Create Content That Connects
    • Plan and manage the organic social media calendar across Not Just Travel's customer-facing channels.
    • Write, create, schedule and publish engaging content aligned with campaigns, travel trends and seasonal opportunities.
    • Produce compelling copy, imagery, reels and other short-form video content.
    • Plan, film and edit social-first video, using Travel Consultant stories, customer experiences and campaign opportunities.
    • Work closely with our Brand & Creative team, using approved templates and briefing new creative requirements.
    • Capture authentic stories and user-generated content, ensuring appropriate permissions are in place.
    Build Engagement & Improve Performance
    • Monitor comments, messages and customer conversations, responding professionally or escalating where appropriate.
    • Track audience growth, engagement, traffic and enquiry signals.
    • Use performance data to understand what's working and improve future content.
    • Stay on top of relevant social media trends and recommend creative ways to test new approaches.
    • Maintain organised content libraries, publishing access and platform approvals.
    Help Our Travel Consultants Succeed
    • Create practical social media content plans, templates and resources for our Travel Consultants.
    • Deliver social media training, live sessions and demonstrations to people with varying levels of experience.
    • Offer guidance, feedback and social media audits to help Consultants improve their presence.
    • Work with colleagues across Marketing, Sales and Business Consultancy to ensure social media supports wider business priorities.
    About You
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys social media and has the practical skills to manage business channels confidently.
    You'll bring:
    • Hands-on experience managing organic social media for a business or brand.
    • Strong copywriting, storytelling and content creation skills.
    • Confidence creating short-form video, including filming and editing.
    • A good understanding of Facebook, Instagram and what drives engagement on each platform.
    • Experience using social media analytics to improve content and performance.
    • Confidence delivering training, guidance or community support.
    • Sound judgement when responding to public comments, messages and sensitive situations.
    • Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage a regular content calendar alongside campaign deadlines.
An interest in travel and a good eye for visual content would be a real advantage.
    The Person We're Looking For
You're curious, creative and full of ideas, but you also know how to turn those ideas into content that actually gets published.
You can write a great caption, spot a story worth sharing and create engaging video without needing a huge production team.
You're comfortable speaking to different people, explaining social media in simple terms and helping others build confidence.
And you're interested in the results, not just the content itself.
    Why Not Just Travel?
You'll get to combine your passion for social media with a brand built around travel, discovery and personal experiences.
From creating content that inspires future holidays to helping Travel Consultants grow their businesses, your work will have a clear purpose and plenty of variety.
You'll collaborate with a wider marketing and creative team while taking real ownership of day-to-day social content and community engagement.
If you're ready to bring fresh ideas, creativity and energy to Not Just Travel's social channels, we'd love to hear from you.
