How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Marketing Operations | Team Leadership | Campaign Delivery | Workflow & Automation
Big Ideas Are Great. Brilliant Execution Makes Them Happen.
At Not Just Travel, we're passionate about helping people discover the world through personal, expert travel planning.
Behind every great campaign, creative idea and Travel Consultant experience is a marketing team making things happen. And as we continue to develop our Marketing & Communications function, we're looking for someone who can bring structure, momentum and accountability to everything we deliver.
We're hiring a Marketing Operations Lead to turn strategy into action, keep multiple teams moving in the right direction and make sure great work gets delivered on time, within budget and to a consistently high standard.
This isn't a role about sitting back and reviewing plans. It's about owning the day-to-day operation of a busy marketing function, solving problems, supporting people and making delivery work better.
    The Role at a Glance
    Marketing Operations Lead
Hybrid Working | Christchurch, Dorset (3 days onsite)
Competitive Salary DOE + Excellent Benefits
    Full-Time | Permanent
Reporting to: Head of Marketing & Communications
    Direct Reports: 3
    The Opportunity
You'll take ownership of the operating rhythm across Communications & PR, Campaigns & Content, and Brand & Creative.
Working closely with the Head of Marketing & Communications, you'll translate strategic priorities into practical delivery plans, ensuring everyone understands what's happening, who's responsible and what needs to happen next.
You'll also lead three key team members, supporting their development while creating the structure and visibility needed for their teams to deliver confidently.
    What You'll Be Doing
    Planning, Priorities & Delivery
    • Own the integrated Marketing & Communications delivery plan and operating calendar.
    • Translate strategic priorities into clear timelines, responsibilities, dependencies and measurable outcomes.
    • Coordinate campaigns, communications and creative projects across multiple teams.
    • Manage workloads, resources and competing priorities, protecting capacity and challenging unrealistic requests.
    • Lead delivery meetings, resolve blockers and escalate decisions when needed.
    • Oversee the marketing helpdesk, ensuring requests are triaged, allocated and responded to within agreed service levels.
    People, Performance & Operations
    • Line-manage the Senior Communications Executive, Campaigns & Content Manager and Brand & Creative Manager.
    • Set clear objectives, provide coaching and hold team members accountable for delivery.
    • Consolidate campaign performance reporting and provide clear updates on progress, risks and resources.
    • Manage monthly budget reconciliation, suppliers, software licences and contract renewals.
    • Improve workflows, governance and working practices across the function.
    • Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to reduce manual work and improve efficiency.
Making Marketing Work for Travel Consultants
    • A key part of the role is ensuring our Travel Consultants receive responsive, practical and coordinated marketing support.
    • You'll work across the business to understand their needs, turn feedback into improvements and make it easier for them to access the marketing resources and support that help their businesses succeed.
    About You
We're looking for an experienced marketing operations professional who knows how to turn ambitious plans into organised, measurable delivery.
    You'll bring:
    • Proven experience leading marketing operations, integrated marketing delivery or multidisciplinary marketing teams.
    • Strong project management, workflow planning and resource allocation skills.
    • Experience managing people, budgets, suppliers and operational reporting.
    • A practical understanding of campaigns, communications, brand and creative production.
    • Confidence in managing stakeholders, setting expectations and constructively challenging priorities.
    • The ability to balance business-as-usual activity with reactive requests and strategic projects.
    • Experience using AI and automation tools to improve workflows and reduce repetitive tasks.
    • Strong commercial awareness, organisational skills and a focus on measurable outcomes.
    • Experience in the travel industry or a recognised project management qualification would be advantageous, but neither is essential.
    The Person We're Looking For
You're the person who brings clarity when everything feels urgent.
You can see the bigger picture without losing sight of the detail. You know when to push, when to challenge and when to help a team find a better way forward.
You're collaborative, commercially aware and confident leading specialists without needing to be the expert in every discipline.
Most importantly, you take ownership. When something needs doing, you make sure it happens.
    Why Not Just Travel?
You'll play a central role in helping our Marketing & Communications function operate at its best, with genuine influence over how work is planned, delivered and improved.
You'll work with talented specialists, support a community of Travel Consultants and help turn marketing strategy into meaningful business results.
If you're ready to bring structure, energy and commercial thinking to a busy marketing function, we'd love to hear from you.
