How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Monitor progress against programme and ensure package milestones are achieved.

Manage technical queries, RFIs and design coordination.

Review subcontractor RAMS, inspection and test plans and quality documentation.

Monitor installation quality and ensure works comply with project requirements.

Work with the commercial team on procurement, variations and package performance.

Identify and manage technical, programme and interface risks.

Attend design, progress and coordination meetings.

Manage interfaces between mechanical services and the wider construction works.

Oversee testing, commissioning and handover of the mechanical package.

Maintain strong health & safety and quality standards throughout delivery.

Provide regular updates on package progress, risks and performance to project leadership.

    Requirements

Previous experience as a Mechanical Package Manager, Mechanical Project Manager, Mechanical Construction Manager or Senior Mechanical Engineer.

Strong experience managing mechanical packages on major construction projects.

Experience working for a Tier One main contractor or specialist MEP contractor.

Strong knowledge of mechanical building services and installation.

Proven experience managing mechanical subcontractors and specialist suppliers.

Strong understanding of design coordination, programme and package management.

Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and technical documentation.

    Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Relevant mechanical engineering or building services qualification.

    Appropriate CSCS and SMSTS qualifications.

    What Our Client Offers

Opportunity to join a leading Tier One contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex projects.
