Salary - £22-25,000 - Plus company benefits and annual bonus
We are seeking an Administrator to join our Logistics team to support the day-to-day administration and coordination of our door-to-door export and import operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone beginning their career, who is organised, detail-oriented and keen to develop. You will receive full training and ongoing support, working closely with experience members of the team to ensure shipments are processed accurately and efficiently.
Previous experience in logistics, shipping or imports/exports would be an advantage but not essential. We are particularly interested in candidates with administrative skills, good attention to detail and confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Key Responsibilities

* Shipment Coordination: Assist with the administration and coordination of export and import shipments. Support the team in arranging collections and deliveries in a timely manner. Liaise with carriers, service providers and other partners as required, with guidance from team members. Help ensure shipment documentation and labelling requirements are completed correctly.
* System & Data Accuracy: Accurately enter shipment details, pricing and other relevant information into the system. Keep records and database up to date. Assist with maintaining accurate information for reporting and audit purposes.
* Documentation Management: Assist with checking and preparing shipping and export documentation. Collate, organise and distribute paperwork to internal departments and external partners. Learn and develop an understanding of import/export documentation and compliance requirements.
* Internal Communication: Communicate with internal departments to provide updates and obtain information. Support the wider team by gathering and sharing relevant shipment information. Develop effective working relationships with colleagues and external service providers.
* Customer & Service Quality: Assist with monitoring collections and deliveries to ensure customer requirements are met. Help identify and report any delays, discrepancies or issues to more experience team members. Provide administrative support to help maintain a high level of customer service.
* Learning & Development: Learn how to use our logistics systems and processed. Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve administrative and logistics processes as your experience develops.
Qualifications & Skills

* Administrative Skills: Some previous administrative experience is preferred, but we will consider candidates with transferrable experience or strong organisational skills. Comfortable working with dates, records and routine administrative tasks.
* Microsoft office: Confident using Microsoft Office. Basic or knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Willingness to learn new systems and software.
* Attention to Detail: Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to work. Able to follow processes and instructions accurately.
* Communication Skills: Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable communicating with colleagues and external contacts.
* Logistics Experience - Desirable, not Essential: Previous experience or knowledge of shipping, imports, exports or supply chain is advantageous. A genuine interest in developing a career in logistics is more important than previous industry experience.
