How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We're seeking a commercially driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic property and construction team responsible for delivering new store developments, refurbishments, fit-outs, and capital investment programmes. This is an opportunity to influence major projects from concept through to completion while working alongside talented project, design, and construction professionals.

    Description

    As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll take ownership of the commercial management of multiple projects, ensuring robust cost control, effective procurement, and successful financial outcomes.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Developing cost plans, budgets, and project estimates.
    Managing procurement and tender processes, including contractor selection and negotiation.
    Administering construction contracts and managing variations.
    Producing financial reports, forecasts, and cashflow analyses.
    Driving value engineering initiatives to maximise project value.
    Managing project risks and ensuring commercial compliance.
    Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, consultants, and contractors.
    Supporting the successful delivery of fast-paced retail refurbishment and development programmes.

    Profile

    Proven Quantity Surveying experience within retail, commercial, fit-out, or construction environments.
    Strong knowledge of cost management, procurement, and contract administration.
    Experience working with JCT and/or NEC contracts.
    Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
    Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
    Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
    MRICS qualification, or working towards chartership, would be advantageous.Job Offer
