The Role
As a Classroom Support Assistant, you will play a key role in helping children feel engaged, supported and confident throughout the school day.
Your responsibilities may include:
Supporting pupils during lessons and classroom activities
Working alongside teachers to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment
Providing one-to-one support and small group interventions
Encouraging positive behaviour and participation in learning
Supporting pupils with a range of needs, including SEND, SEMH and EAL
Helping children develop confidence, independence and social skills
Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
Adapting your approach to meet individual learning needs
Who We're Looking For
We would love to hear from candidates who:
Have experience working with children or young people in schools, nurseries, clubs, sports coaching, tutoring or community settings
Are patient, approachable and resilient
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
Enjoy working as part of a team
Are passionate about supporting children's learning and development
Can remain positive and adaptable in a busy school environment
Are eager to learn and develop within education
Experience supporting SEND pupils is beneficial but not essential.

What We Need to Clear You
Passport or proof of right to work in the UK
Two proofs of address (e.g. driving licence, utility bill or council tax statement)
A CV covering the last 10 years of work and/or education, with any gaps explained
References covering the last 2 years (including childcare references where applicable)
An overseas police check if you have lived abroad for 3 months or more within the last 5 years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
