Remedy Tutors is recruiting dedicated SEN Tutors, Specialist Tutors and 1:1 Tutors to provide personalised educational support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
You'll deliver tailored 1:1 tuition, build confidence, develop independence and help pupils make meaningful progress towards their individual goals. Sessions may take place in pupils' homes, schools or community settings, offering flexibility to suit your availability.
The Role
As an SEN Tutor, you will:
Deliver engaging, structured and personalised 1:1 lessons.
Support pupils with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, SEMH and other additional needs.
Assess learning needs, set achievable objectives and adapt teaching strategies and resources.
Monitor, record and report on pupil progress.
Build positive relationships that promote confidence, motivation and independence.
Work collaboratively with parents, schools and other professionals.
Maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment and follow safeguarding and SEND procedures.
What we're looking for
We're keen to hear from candidates with:
Experience supporting children or young people with SEN/SEND.
Experience in 1:1 tuition, teaching, interventions or personalised learning support.
Strong subject knowledge and an understanding of effective SEND teaching strategies.
Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills.
A patient, empathetic, adaptable and encouraging approach.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
Relevant teaching or tutoring qualifications, such as QTS, PGCE/PGDE or equivalent, where applicable.
An Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to complete the required checks.
Specialist SEN experience welcome!
We particularly welcome tutors with:
Specialist SEN/SEND or SpLD qualifications.
Level 3, 4 or 5 education or SEN qualifications.
Experience supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia or SEMH.
Experience delivering intervention programmes and working with EHCPs or personalised learning plans.
Experience supporting pupils disengaged from mainstream education or accessing alternative provision.
