How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    £31,500 Basic Salary + 10% Shift Allowance (£34,650 Package)

    * 37 Hours Per Week

Ever wondered what it's like to repair electronic equipment used on aircraft operating worldwide?

Talent Media is supporting a global leader in the aerospace electronics sector as it continues to invest in its specialist repair operation in Cumbernauld.

This is an opportunity to join a highly skilled technical team responsible for diagnosing, repairing and testing sophisticated electronic equipment used throughout the aviation industry.

Unlike repetitive production environments, every day presents a new challenge.

One day you could fault-find down to the component level; the next, you could inspect, repair, and test equipment before returning it to customers worldwide.

If you enjoy understanding how things work, diagnosing faults and bringing electronic equipment back to life, this could be exactly the opportunity you've been looking for.

    Package

    * Total package of £34,650

    * 25 days of annual leave plus public holidays

    * Option to purchase additional annual leave

    * Salary sacrifice pension with employer contributions matched up to 7%

    The Role

    * Diagnose and repair faults on electronic equipment and assemblies.

    * Carry out component-level repairs and modifications.

    * Test and inspect products to strict quality standards.

    * Use equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies and other electronic test equipment.

    * Complete repair and inspection documentation.

    * Maintain accurate records of repairs, testing and procedures.

    * Support continuous improvement activities across the repair facility.

    * Work closely with experienced engineers and technicians to further develop your technical capability.

    What We're Looking For

We're far more interested in your technical ability, attitude and willingness to learn than direct aerospace experience.

You'll likely have experience in some of the following:

    - Electronics repair

    - Fault finding and diagnostics

    - PCB assembly, testing or repair

    - Soldering and inspection

    - Reading schematics and technical drawings

    - Electronic testing and inspection

    - Using oscilloscopes, multimeters and power supplies

    - Hands-on repair of electronic products or assemblies

    - Ideally, you'll also have:

    - HNC/HND in Electronics or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

    - IPC soldering or inspection experience

    - Experience within electronics manufacturing, aerospace, defence, industrial electronics, telecommunications or medical device environments

    Why Apply?

    - Work on complex and interesting technology rather than repetitive production work.

    - Join a stable and growing global technology business.

    - Gain specialist experience within the aerospace sector.

    - Develop highly transferable electronic repair and diagnostic skills.

    - Receive full product and technical training from experienced engineers and technicians.

    - Build a long-term career within a business renowned for quality, innovation and engineering excellence.

Whether you're currently working as an Electronics Technician, Test Technician, Repair Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Service Technician, PCB Technician or Avionics Technician, we'd love to hear from you.

Candidates living within approximately one hour of Cumbernauld, including Glasgow, Falkirk, Stirling, Livingston, Coatbridge, Motherwell and surrounding areas, are encouraged to apply.
