How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We're working with an award-winning architectural practice renowned for delivering exceptional prime and super-prime residential projects for private clients. The practice has built an outstanding reputation for combining exceptional design with technical excellence, creating bespoke homes of the very highest quality. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a practice recognised for its exceptionally high standards of design, technical detailing and craftsmanship.

They are currently seeking a Part I Architectural Assistant to join their team as soon as possible on an initial contract basis. You'll gain valuable experience within London's prime residential sector, working on some of the country's finest bespoke homes. The initial contract is expected to run for approximately 2–3 months, with the possibility of extension as the practice's project workload develops. This role will particularly suit a graduate who enjoys the technical side of architecture and wants to develop their skills working on beautifully crafted, bespoke residential projects, rather than focusing solely on conceptual design.

    The Role

Working alongside experienced Architects and Technologists, you'll provide technical support on a number of high-end residential projects, contributing to the production of detailed drawing packages and helping to coordinate information through the technical stages of design.

This is a hands-on role that will give you exposure to live projects, discerning private clients and exceptionally high standards of design and technical delivery.

    Key responsibilities include:
Producing detailed architectural drawing packages and interior elevations
Assisting with the coordination of architectural finishes and construction details
Preparing and updating drawing schedules and project information
Supporting project teams with drawing production and technical coordination
Working closely with senior colleagues to deliver accurate, high-quality technical information and contribute to the smooth delivery of live projectsAbout You
    Part I qualified in Architecture
Strong AutoCAD skills, together with experience using SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
Excellent 2D drawing and technical communication skills
Organised, accurate and able to work effectively within a project team
Genuine interest in technical detailing and construction
Enthusiastic, proactive and keen to learn from experienced professionals
An interest in the practical application of AI within architectural workflows would be advantageous
Able to work from their Chelsea studio five days per weekPortfolio

Applications should demonstrate thoughtful, well-resolved architectural work rather than purely conceptual or highly stylised imagery. Examples of technical drawings, interior elevations, coordinated drawing packages or other technically focused work will be particularly relevant. Applications with portfolios demonstrating strong technical ability, careful attention to detail and realistic, buildable design solutions are likely to be of particular interest.

    Why This Role?

For the right graduate, this represents an outstanding opportunity to gain experience within one of London's leading prime residential architectural practices. You'll work alongside experienced architects on beautifully crafted bespoke homes, developing your technical skills in a studio where quality, attention to detail and craftsmanship underpin every project. Whilst the initial appointment is offered on a contract basis, there is potential for the engagement to be extended should project workload allow. The advertised PAYE rate of £15.40 per hour is equivalent to an annual salary of approximately £30,000
