How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Area Sales Manager – Outdoor Play Equipment

    Location: Beds, Berks, Bucks, Herts, Oxs, Hants, Wilts, Gloucs, Dorset
    Salary: £37,000–£44,200 basic + uncapped commission
    Benefits: Company car or £650 monthly car allowance, private healthcare, 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays

    We’re recruiting an Area Sales Manager to develop sales across Beds, Berks, Bucks, Herts, Oxs, Hants, Wilts, Gloucs, Dorset for an established, family-run manufacturer of innovative outdoor playground equipment.

    You’ll be responsible for developing relationships with a diverse range of customers, identifying new business opportunities and managing projects from the initial enquiry through to delivery.

    The Role

    As Area Sales Manager, you will take ownership of sales across your territory, selling a range of outdoor playground equipment into public and private sector markets.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    * Developing new business opportunities across Beds, Berks, Bucks, Herts, Oxs, Hants, Wilts, Gloucs, Dorset

    * Building relationships with Parish Councils, Local Authorities and schools.

    * Identifying additional opportunities with housebuilders, holiday parks and leisure operators.

    * Following up qualified leads generated by the internal sales co-ordinator.

    * Conducting customer site visits, surveys and consultations.

    * Delivering engaging product presentations alongside the in-house 2D and 3D design teams.

    * Preparing tailored solutions to meet customers’ requirements, budgets and available spaces.

    * Managing opportunities through the sales process, working closely with the project co-ordinator to ensure successful project delivery.

    * Maintaining a strong pipeline of opportunities and consistently working towards sales targets.

    This is a consultative, relationship-led sales role where you’ll combine new business development with account management, solution selling and project coordination.

    What We’re Looking For

    We’re keen to hear from commercially minded sales professionals who enjoy developing relationships, identifying opportunities and closing business.

    Ideally, you will have:

    * Experience in a field-based B2B sales or Area Sales Manager role.

    * A proven ability to develop new business and manage a sales pipeline.

    * Strong relationship-building, presentation and negotiation skills.

    * The confidence to engage with a variety of customers and stakeholders.

    * A proactive, organised and self-motivated approach.

    * The ability to manage multiple opportunities and projects simultaneously.

    * A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

    Experience selling into Local Authorities, schools, construction, housebuilding, landscaping, leisure or related sectors would be advantageous, although transferable sales experience will also be considered.

    The Package

    The successful candidate will receive an attractive package, including:

    * £37,000–£44,200 basic salary, depending on experience.

    * Uncapped commission, with realistic opportunities to earn additional income based on performance.

    * Company car or £650 monthly car allowance.

    * 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays.

    * Private healthcare.
