How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Responding to breakdowns and identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
Delivering small engineering projects, including equipment installations, control modifications and machinery improvements.
Reading electrical drawings and maintaining accurate maintenance records and technical documentation.
Supporting mechanical maintenance and repairs within your competence.
Following safe isolation, lockout, permit-to-work and change-control procedures.
Working collaboratively with production teams, contractors and fellow engineers to maintain high standards of safety and workmanship.

You'll be an experienced electrical engineer with a strong manufacturing background, confident working independently to diagnose faults and deliver effective engineering solutions.

    Essential requirements:

Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation or a relevant electrical discipline.
    18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
Recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent practical training.
At least five years' relevant electrical engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
Strong electrical fault-finding skills, including experience with industrial machinery and control systems.
Experience of PPM, breakdown response and electrical installations.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
    Practical mechanical maintenance skills.
A thorough understanding of safe isolation and electrical working practices.
    Desirable Experience

    CompEx Ex01–Ex04 qualification.
Experience within aerosol, chemical or other hazardous-area manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of ATEX equipment and DSEAR requirements.
Experience delivering engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Familiarity with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS).

    Team building day annually
    Day-shift working pattern.
Early finish every Friday at 12:30pm.
A varied, hands-on engineering role with opportunities to contribute to equipment improvements and operational efficiency.
The opportunity to apply your technical skills within an established manufacturing environment.
    Interested?

If you're a qualified Electrical Multiskilled Engineer who enjoys fault finding, solving technical challenges and keeping production running at its best, we'd love to hear from you.
