How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    No1 Site Manager Required - Minimum 1 year contract

    Cadence Search are working exclusively with this fast growing and exciting developer who are seeking a No1 Site Manager for a project they have in Dunstable. With an exciting pipeline of work the business is set to double in size over the coming year and so there will be a real chance of this opportunity becoming long term.
    The project comprises of traditional build methods as well as some refurbishment works to be done on an existing building. As the No1 Site Manager you will be tasked with making sure all build targets are met and the project comes to successful completion.

    Responsibilities:

    * Manage day-to-day construction activities across the residential and mixed-use development.

    * Coordinate subcontractors, site operatives and specialist trades.

    * Plan and sequence works to ensure the project remains on programme.

    * Manage traditional build, steel frame and associated construction activities.

    * Coordinate works between different trades and project disciplines.

    * Monitor progress, productivity, workmanship and quality on site.

    * Ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and approved methodologies.

    * Review construction drawings and identify potential technical or sequencing issues.

    * Liaise with the Senior Directors to provide regular updates.

    * Manage site logistics, materials, deliveries and resources.

    * Carry out regular inspections and oversee snagging and completion activities.

    * Maintain accurate site records and provide regular progress updates.

    * Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance are maintained.

    Requirements:

    * Proven experience and successful track record as a No1 Site Manager within the residential development sector

    * Strong experience delivering major new build residential projects.

    * Experience of apartment schemes

    * Good knowledge of traditional build construction with some refurbishment experience preferred but not essential

    * Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades on complex projects.

    * Strong understanding of construction sequencing, programme and site logistics.

    * Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation.

    * Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.

    * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

    Interviews will take place shortly with a start at the end of November
