How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    12 hour shifts Days & NightsWe are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join an established, world-class manufacturing company in Leeds. Working at a modern site with a high level of automation, this role offers the chance to tackle a broad range of engineering challenges and work on sophisticated production equipment.

    The Role

    As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the reliability and efficiency of production equipment across the site. The position combines planned preventative maintenance with hands-on fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs, giving you the opportunity to work across a varied range of machinery and engineering systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    Completing PPM schedules and carrying out reactive maintenance to keep production equipment operating efficiently
    Investigating machinery faults and carrying out effective electrical and/or mechanical repairs
    Working on complex automated production lines and process equipment
    Maintaining and repairing pumps, motors, gearboxes and other mechanical components
    Responding to breakdowns, identifying root causes and implementing lasting solutions
    Contributing to engineering projects, equipment upgrades and continuous improvement activities
    Looking for ways to improve machinery reliability, reduce downtime and increase production efficiencyWhat's on Offer

    Recognised engineering qualification, such as City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent qualification
    Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within manufacturing, production or a process-based environment
    Electrical or mechanical engineering and multi-skilled Maintenance EngineersPractical experience maintaining and fault-finding on automated machinery
    Confident diagnosing technical problems and carrying out effective repairs
    A proactive approach to maintenance, with a focus on equipment reliability and minimising production disruptionApplication Process
