How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    SEN Teacher - Temp to Perm

    Location: Taunton, Somerset

    Salary: £130 - £225 per day
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 4:00pm
    Contract: Temporary to Permanent
    Start Date: ASAP

    Prospero Teaching is delighted to be working with a specialist education setting in the Taunton area to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teacher for a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity.

    This rewarding role involves teaching and supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and associated learning difficulties. The successful candidate will be passionate about creating an inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

    The Role

    Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
    Creating a positive, safe, and nurturing classroom environment.
    Supporting pupils to achieve educational and personal development targets.
    Managing behaviour positively and promoting emotional wellbeing.
    Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals.
    Monitoring progress and adapting teaching strategies to maximise outcomes.
    Building strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.

    The Ideal Candidate

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
    Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs is desirable.
    Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
    A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach.
    Excellent communication and organisational skills.
    Passionate about making a lasting difference to young people's lives.
