How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Trainee Electronics Technician / Production Operative
    Location: Edenbridge
    Hours: Monday to Thursday, 2:30pm - 11:30pm
    Salary: £26,234 per annum + overtime opportunities
    Job Type: Permanent
    Training: Full training provided

    Are you looking for a permanent role where you can learn new skills and build a career in electronics?

    We are currently recruiting Trainee Electronics Technicians / Production Operatives to join the assembly engineering team of an established manufacturing business based in a modern, state-of-the-art facility in Edenbridge.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail, good manual dexterity and a willingness to learn. Previous electronics or manufacturing experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.

    The Role
    As a Trainee Electronics Technician / Production Operative, you will be responsible for assembling and testing components to produce specialist safety switches and electronic products.
    Your duties will include:
    * Assembling small components with a high level of accuracy
    * Working with electrical wiring and components
    * Using microscopes and specialist equipment
    * Reading and following electrical drawings and schematics
    * Working to detailed production and quality standards
    * Learning new processes and developing your technical skills
    * Maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the production process

    About You
    We are looking for candidates who are:
    * Highly detail-oriented and take pride in producing quality work
    * Dextrous and comfortable working with small components
    * Reliable, conscientious and keen to learn
    * Able to follow detailed instructions and technical information
    * Adaptable and willing to develop new skills
    * Comfortable working as part of a team

    No previous experience is essential. Candidates from an electrical wiring, electronics, engineering or manufacturing background will be particularly advantageous, but full training is available for the right person.
