The Management Accountant focus will be on producing accurate management information, supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles, and providing financial insight to support strategic decision-making across the business. Added to this, you would have a dotted line in to the financial accounting team, providing and receiving support where required.
Example responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal postings, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
* Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and rolling financial projections.
* Provide variance analysis against budget and prior periods, with clear commentary for stakeholders.
* Partner with department and business unit leads to ensure financial data is accurately reflected and understood.

Management Accountant profile:
* Ideally part or newly qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA/other)
* Experience within a management or operations accounting environment
* Confidence in dealing with stakeholders and senior business unit managers with the ability to push back at times
* Experience in ERP/accounting systems (Xero/Sage/NetSuite/Similar/)
* Flexible attitude towards working across various business and accounting functions
* Willingness to learn and develop
