Typical project values range from £500,000 to £1 million, delivering refurbishment and maintenance schemes for a variety of repeat clients.
Quantity Surveyor - The Role
Reporting to the Senior Commercial Team, you will take commercial responsibility for one or more refurbishment and planned maintenance projects from pre-construction through to final account.
Duties will include:
* Preparing cost plans, budgets and forecasts.
* Procurement and management of subcontract packages.
* Tender analysis and subcontract negotiations.
* Valuations and payment applications.
* Cost reporting and CVRs.
* Managing variations and change control.
* Subcontract account management.
* Final account negotiation and agreement.
* Working closely with operational teams to maximise commercial performance.
Quantity Surveyor Candidate Criteria
We are keen to speak with Quantity Surveyors who have experience working for a:
* Main Contractor
* Planned Maintenance Contractor
* Social Housing Contractor
* Heritage or Specialist Refurbishment Contractor
You will ideally have:
* 3+ years' Quantity Surveying experience.
* Experience working on refurbishment and/or planned maintenance projects.
* A good understanding of JCT forms of contract.
* Knowledge of NHF Schedule of Rates (desirable).
* Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills.
* Degree qualified or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
