How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Title: Brokerage Placement Assistant
    Location: choice of three locations Priory House, Bedfordshire; Gemini House, Cambridgeshire or The Forum, Hemel Hempstead
    Hours: full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9:00 – 17:00
    Pay and duration: £15.25 per hour, we expect this placement to last 3 months with possible extension
    We are looking for a confident, organised and proactive Brokerage Placement Assistant to join our team on a temporary placement, supporting the coordination and administration of care placements.
    This is a varied role where you’ll work with a wide range of stakeholders, helping to ensure that individuals receive the appropriate care and support while also assisting with the financial and administrative processes behind each placement.
    What you’ll be responsible for:
    * Communicating professionally with a wide range of stakeholders, including care providers, hospitals, medical professionals, patients and their families.
    * Supporting the identification and coordination of suitable care placements.
    * Assisting with cost negotiations with care providers.
    * Managing and maintaining accurate funding administration and associated records.
    * Handling sensitive and sometimes complex conversations with confidence and professionalism.
    * Communicating assertively and effectively, while maintaining positive working relationships.
    * Working collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to help achieve positive outcomes for individuals.
    You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
    1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
    2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
    3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

    · Comfortable working with financial information and administrative processes.

    This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
