How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    SEN Teacher

    Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive special educational needs school in Watford.

    The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment for pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Speech and Language Needs, and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). Staff work collaboratively to ensure every student is supported to achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.

    The school prides itself on its strong leadership team, excellent staff support, and ongoing professional development opportunities throughout the academic year.

    This role is suitable for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced SEN practitioners. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of students, whilst fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

    Depending on performance and the needs of the school, there may be the opportunity to extend the contract or secure a permanent position.

    EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
    · QTS or equivalent
    · Expereince in SEN setting
    · Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

    TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

    · Hold Right to Work in the UK
    · Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
    · Provide two professional child related references that cover the last 2 years
