How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

HR Manager – 360 Care Group

Location: London, with occasional travel to services as required

    Salary: Circa £50,000 FTE

Working pattern: Part-time, 3 days per week

Reports to: Director of Group Operations

    About Us:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to play a key role in a significant period of change at 360 Care Group.

We are undertaking a major workforce transformation, moving from a predominantly agency-worker model to direct employment. The HR Manager will lead the HR workstream, developing and implementing the contracts, processes, policies and systems needed to support the transition, working closely with Operations, Finance, Payroll, Talent and Group leadership.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience of workforce transformation, organisational change or changes to employment models and workforce structures.

This is a hands-on, three-day-per-week role requiring an experienced, highly organised and autonomous HR professional who can lead a significant project alongside day-to-day HR responsibilities.

The role also offers the opportunity to help build and develop the Group’s HR function. You will be comfortable working in an environment where HR processes, systems and infrastructure are developing, and will bring the practical experience needed to establish a strong and effective HR function.

Once the transformation is embedded, the role will evolve to focus on the ongoing management and development of HR, including employee relations, compliance, HR processes, employee lifecycle, workforce data and practical support for managers and senior leaders.

    Key Duties:

Lead the HR workstream of the workforce transformation, transitioning from agency to direct employment.

Develop and implement employment contracts, HR policies, processes and systems to support the new employment model.

Work closely with Operations, Finance, Payroll, Talent and senior leadership to ensure a smooth and compliant transition.

Work with the Talent team to ensure a seamless transition from recruitment through to employment and onboarding.

Manage day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, employee lifecycle, documentation, compliance and HR systems.

Provide practical advice and support to managers on employee relations, including absence, performance, disciplinary, grievance and capability matters.

Build manager capability and confidence through practical guidance, coaching and training, enabling managers to manage people matters effectively and consistently.

Support investigations and formal meetings where required.

Ensure employment law, safeguarding, right-to-work, DBS and regulatory requirements are met and records are maintained accurately.

Develop HR reporting and workforce data to support leadership decision-making.

Support performance, training, engagement, wellbeing and retention initiatives.

Identify and manage HR risks, escalating complex matters and obtaining specialist advice where required.

Help develop and embed a strong, practical HR function, including processes, systems, policies and manager support.

Once the transformation is embedded, take ownership of the ongoing development and effectiveness of the Group’s HR function.

    Essential Experience & Knowledge

Proven experience in a senior operational HR role, such as HR Manager or HR Business Partner.

Experience leading or contributing to a workforce transformation, organisational change or HR change project.

Experience implementing employment models, contracts, HR processes or workforce structures.

Strong knowledge of UK employment law and practical employee relations experience.

Experience developing and implementing HR policies, procedures and employment documentation.

Experience supporting managers with complex employee relations matters.

Experience coaching, developing and building confidence in managers to handle people matters effectively.

Experience working with varied workforce models, including hourly-paid, variable-hours, bank or contingent workers.

Experience in a regulated environment, ideally care, health, education or a similar sector.

Experience working in an environment where HR processes, systems and infrastructure are developing, being established or undergoing significant change.

Highly organised and able to work autonomously, prioritise effectively and manage competing demands within a three-day-per-week role.

Strong project management skills and excellent attention to detail.

Confident working with senior leaders and operational managers across multiple locations.

Strong understanding of HR risk, confidentiality, data protection and accurate record keeping.

    Desirable Experience & Knowledge

Experience transitioning a workforce from agency/contingent to direct employment.

Experience in care provision, particularly children’s residential care or supported living.

Understanding of CQC and/or Ofsted workforce requirements.

Experience implementing HR systems and processes during organisational growth or change.
