How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Join an award-winning, high-growth business where ambition is rewarded. Take ownership, drive real impact, and accelerate your career in a dynamic finance role at Indevor Group.

Are you an ambitious and driven individual looking to advance your career?
Indevor Group, a fast-growing, award-winning start-up, is looking for hard-working and conscientious individuals to join our high-performing team. As we enter the next phase of growth, we are seeking talented candidates to help us scale and deliver innovative solutions to the house-building industry.

We are committed to excellence, high performance, uncompromising standards, and success

This isn’t a role for someone simply looking to pick up a pay check or even just build a reasonable career. We are looking for people who want to become part of our story, those willing to work hard, embrace challenges, and help us deliver on our ambitious business plan while contributing to a dynamic and rewarding workplace.

We value energy and attitude over age and experience. No prior sector experience is required; full training will be provided to help you thrive in your role.

This is not for the faint-hearted. But for the right person, it’s one hell of a journey.

    About Us:

Indevor Group is reshaping the house-building industry through innovation, technology, and a relentless focus on results. Our clients include some of the UK’s leading FTSE 100 companies, and we take pride in delivering solutions that drive real impact.

We’ve built a culture that balances ambition with support, a place where people are challenged to achieve their best while being part of a team that celebrates success together. Our commitment to our people has earned us Gold accreditation from Investors in People and recognition in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work for two consecutive years (2025 and 2026), underlining our belief that high performance and a great workplace go hand in hand.

    Role Overview

As a Management Accountant, you will support the delivery of accurate financial reporting, analysis, and insight across the business. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will play a key role in maintaining strong financial control while driving efficiency and supporting business improvement initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact within a growing and dynamic organisation.

    Responsibilities:

    · Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate end-of-month management accounts and profit & loss (P&L) reports, providing clear insight into business performance and key financial trends.

    · Bookkeeping and Transaction Management: Handle day-to-day bookkeeping, including processing sales and purchase invoices, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records.

    · VAT and Compliance: Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements, ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and deadlines.

    · Credit Control: Monitor and manage debtors, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments and maintaining effective credit control procedures.

    · Financial Analysis and Business Insight: Analyse financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities, profitability trends, and areas for operational improvement. Provide recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

    · Policy and Procedure Development: Assist in the creation, documentation, and improvement of company policies, financial processes, and internal controls to ensure efficiency and consistency.

    · Reporting and Performance Monitoring: Create and maintain business performance reports and KPIs, supporting continuous improvement across the organisation.

    · Stakeholder Support: Collaborate with internal departments and support the Managing Director with ad hoc financial and administrative tasks as required.

    · System and Process Improvement: Work with finance software and reporting systems to streamline processes, improve reporting accuracy, and enhance automation where possible.

    Key Qualities:

    · Previous experience in a similar accounting or finance role, within either industry or practice, is preferred.

    · Strong understanding of accounting processes, including VAT, profit and loss (P&L) reporting, and credit control.

    · Highly motivated with a commitment to accuracy, attention to detail, and continuous professional development.

    · Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

    · Ambitious and career-focused, with a desire to progress towards a Finance Director or similar leadership role.

    · Proactive and commercially minded, with a focus on identifying efficiencies and driving business improvement initiatives.

    What We Offer:

    *

Comprehensive training and ongoing support to help you excel in your role

    *

Clear career development pathways and progression opportunities

    *

Performance-based financial rewards recognising your contribution and results

    *

A dynamic and supportive team culture where your ideas and input are valued

    *

Participation in charity initiatives and team-building activities, from fundraising walks to skydiving

    *

A chance to work with an award-winning, high-performing team

Are you ready to become part of something special?
This isn’t a role for someone who is just looking for a salary, this is an opportunity to become an integral part of a growing business and contribute to our exciting journey. If you’re driven, enthusiastic, and ready to deliver results, we want to hear from you!
