How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Salary: Up to £20.25 ph based upon experience and qualifications.
    Equivalent of up to £39,500 for a 37.5 hr week. Paid hourly so enables greater annual salary.
    Pay scale: £32,000 - £39,650
    28 days paid holiday + long term service additional leave programme + additional holiday over Xmas and New Year + shared profit scheme for staff after 1 year service + annual wellbeing fund + pension.

    We have an exciting opportunity for a fully qualified Electrical Engineer to join our growing Renewable Energy Company based in Swansea, to install solar PV and battery systems on roofs and ground arrays.

    Limitless Energy is a renewable heating and electrical solutions company, installing heat pumps, solar thermal, solar diverters, solar panels, battery storage and electric vehicle charge points.
    Due to the energy and climate crises, demands for our services are growing and we are looking to expand our electrical team.
    We are a family-owned business, established in 2014 and we believe domestic renewable heating systems are essential to transition away from fossil fuels. We run an electric fleet and work with mostly domestic and some commercial customers in and around Swansea, Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, Neath Port Talbot, Bridgend and Cardiff. We run the business from our eco-home in Mumbles which demonstrates all the technologies we install and have site storage and van charging premises in Penclawdd.

    Summary of Role:
    You will be responsible for the installation of solar PV and EES systems across a range of sites around Swansea and surrounding areas including Carmarthenshire, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire and Bridgend. We currently install solar on domestic sites with roof and ground arrays, with system size ranges from 2KW to 14KW+ on single, three phase and off grid.
    You will be responsible for the timely and efficient installation of solar systems onto the roof and making off connections up to and including the inverter and battery (DC Cabling), as well as installation and commissioning of solar and battery systems, EV car charging points and solar hot water diverters. We currently install Eleven Energy, SigEnergy, SunSynk, Fox, Solis, Solar Edge, Tesla and MyEnergi.
    Duties & Responsibilities:
    * Timely installation of solar PV panel systems to different roof types.
    * Solar PV, inverter and battery DC Wiring
    * Commissioning PV and battery systems and issue resolution
    * Managing stock & material allocation to jobs
    * Working within a team of engineers.
    The above list is not exhaustive and additional duties may be asked of you.
    Candidate Profile:
    The ideal candidate will be interested in climate change and have experience in the installation of Solar PV and willing and able to work on roofs. The candidate should also be a good team player and be eager to learn.

    Salary:
    * £39,500 per year based upon experience and qualifications

    Experience:
    * Solar PV Installation: 1 year (preferred)
    * Experience of working from heights (preferred)
    * Experience of working on roofs (optional)
    Additional Health and Safety Training will be provided.
    Licences and Certifications required:
    * 18th Edition Course
    * City & Guilds Accredited PAT Testing
    * City & Guilds Accredited Inspection and Testing
    * City & Guilds Accredited NVQ Level 3
    * Full Driving Licence
    * Solar PV installation qualification (desirable)
    * EES installation qualification (desirable)
    * EV car charging qualification (desirable)
