How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

    * Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure students complete the work provided.

    * Maintain a positive, calm and purposeful learning environment.

    * Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies.

    * Support students with their learning and encourage high standards of work and conduct.

    * Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student engagement and behaviour.

    * Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students at all times.

    * Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

    About you

We are looking for someone who is:

    * Confident and comfortable leading a classroom.

    * Passionate about supporting young people and their education.

    * Calm, patient and able to manage challenging behaviour effectively.

    * Organised, reliable and professional.

    * An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

    * Able to work independently while also being a committed member of a team.

    * Ideally experienced in a school, youth work or education setting, although applications from candidates with transferable experience are welcome.

    What we offer

    * A supportive and welcoming school environment.

    * The opportunity to gain valuable experience within education.

    * Professional development and opportunities to progress.

    * A rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference to students' learning and development.

    * Supportive colleagues and a strong team ethos.

    How to apply

If you are enthusiastic about education and believe you have the skills and commitment to make a positive impact in the classroom, we would love to hear from you
