How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you a passionate Maths Teacher looking for a long-term role from January 2027?

    Would you like the opportunity to work four days per week, Monday to Thursday, within a supportive and well-established secondary school?

    Classroom Talent is working in partnership with a highly regarded secondary school in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, who are looking to appoint a Maths Teacher from January 2027 through to July 2027.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced Maths Teacher or a confident ECT looking to join a supportive department for the remainder of the academic year.

    The successful candidate will be teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4 and working as part of an established Maths department.

    MATHS TEACHER – THE ROLE

    * Maths Teacher

    * January 2027 start

    * Long-term position until July 2027

    * 4 days per week – Monday to Thursday

    * Teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4

    * Planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons

    * Marking and assessing pupil progress

    * Working collaboratively with the existing Maths department

    * Supporting pupils of varying abilities to make strong progress

    * Competitive daily rate dependent on experience

    MATHS TEACHER – PERSON SPECIFICATION

    * UK QTS/QTLS preferred

    * ECTs are welcome to apply

    * Strong Maths subject knowledge

    * Confident teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4

    * Ability to plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons

    * Strong classroom and behaviour management

    * Reliable and committed to the role through to July 2027

    * Able to work collaboratively as part of an established department

    * Passionate about helping pupils achieve their potential
