How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Production Scheduler

    Hailsham | Full-Time, Permanent | Competitive Salary

    Are you an organised, analytical professional looking for your next step in production planning and scheduling?

    Placr’s client is a successful precision engineering and manufacturing business looking for a Production Scheduler to take ownership of production schedules, coordinate across departments and help drive excellent on-time delivery.

    The Role

    * Manage forward-looking production schedules across manufacturing cells.

    * Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to agree delivery dates.

    * Monitor capacity, demand and potential production delays.

    * Work closely with Cell Leaders to maintain on-time delivery.

    * Maximise the use of ERP/order management systems and maintain clear order visibility.

    * Identify priorities and critical issues, taking ownership through to resolution.

    * Produce production and delivery performance reports and metrics.

    What We're Looking For

    * Experience in production planning, scheduling or a similar manufacturing environment.

    * Ideally, a background within precision engineering, manufacturing or assembly.

    * Strong Excel, ERP and systems knowledge; Microsoft Dynamics AX experience would be advantageous.

    * Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills.

    * Confident decision-maker with strong problem-solving abilities.

    * Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.

    * Degree educated or qualified through relevant experience.
