How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Sales Administrator
    Salary: £30,000 per annum
    Hours: Monday to Friday 8.45am to 5.30pm, finishing early at 5pm on Fridays
    We are looking for a responsible, organised and motivated Sales Administrator to join this growing international business.
    This is a varied role for someone who takes pride in getting the detail right, enjoys solving problems and is comfortable dealing directly with customers and suppliers.
    You will be joining a young, enthusiastic and supportive admin team, but they're looking for someone with a mature approach to their work – someone who can be relied upon to take ownership of a task, manage their priorities and see things through properly.
    There is also plenty of opportunity to learn and develop. For the right person who wants to progress, the role can grow as your knowledge, confidence and responsibilities increase.
    What’s on offer:
    * £30,000 per annum
    * Bonus scheme rewarding company and individual performance
    * 22 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 23 days after three years
    * Healthcare cash plan
    * Pension with company contributions matched up to 5%
    * Cycle to Work scheme
    * Regular company social events
    * A friendly, supportive working environment
    * Exposure to customers and suppliers around the world
    * Genuine opportunity to develop and progress within a growing business
    What you'll be doing as Sales Administrator:
    * Responding to enquiries and communicating with customers in the UK and overseas
    * Preparing quotations throughout the sales and order process
    * Researching products and sourcing solutions to unusual customer requirements
    * Negotiating with suppliers and placing purchase orders
    * Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently
    * Organising international shipments and working with freight companies
    * Monitoring orders and proactively dealing with delays or problems
    * Taking ownership of customer requirements through to completion
    * Working closely with the wider sales and operations team
    What you’ll bring:
    * Experience in sales administration, customer service, order processing or a similar commercial role would be useful, but attitude and approach are equally important.
    * Reliable and responsible, with a mature attitude towards work
    * Highly organised and able to prioritise when several things need attention
    * Naturally detail-focused and someone who checks their own work
    * Comfortable taking ownership rather than waiting to be reminded
    * A practical problem solver who enjoys finding answers
    * Confident and professional when dealing with customers by telephone and email
    * Comfortable working independently while also being a good team player
    * IT confident
    * Interested in learning and developing your commercial knowledge
    * Ambitious to progress as you gain experience
