How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Enable Resourcing are working with a leading civil engineering and utilities contractor to recruit an experienced Site Agent to join their growing project delivery team.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a driven Site Agent with experience delivering water and wastewater treatment projects to take ownership of schemes from inception through to completion. Working alongside Project Managers, commercial teams and site-based staff, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and commercially successful delivery of projects across the water sector.

    The Role

    As Site Agent, you will oversee all site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and environmental compliance.

    Key responsibilities include:

    * Managing the day-to-day delivery of civil engineering and water infrastructure projects.

    * Leading site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.

    * Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.

    * Monitoring programme performance and driving project delivery.

    * Managing resources, labour and plant requirements.

    * Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

    * Identifying and mitigating project risks.

    * Supporting commercial performance and cost control.

    * Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with NEC contract requirements.

    Requirements

    To be considered, candidates must have:

    * Proven experience as a Site Agent within the water, utilities or civil engineering sectors.

    * A minimum of 6-12 months' sewage treatment and water treatment project experience.

    * Practical working knowledge of NEC contracts.

    * Experience managing civil engineering, utilities or non-infrastructure construction projects.

    * Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and construction health & safety requirements.

    * Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

    * Experience managing subcontractors, direct labour and site resources.

    * Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

    * Valid SMSTS.

    * CSCS Card.

    * NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.

    * Full UK Driving Licence.
