HV Electrical Engineer

What you will do

* Design HV systems from 11kV to 132kV, including single line diagrams and cable schedules

* Specify switchgear, transformers, cables and protection equipment

* Carry out or review load flow, fault level and earthing studies

* Work with DNOs and National Grid on connection requirements

* Support installation, testing and energisation on site

* Make sure designs meet UK regulations and network standards

What you need

* Degree in Electrical or Electrical Power Engineering, or equivalent

* 3+ years in HV design, delivery or commissioning

* Strong knowledge of protection, switchgear and network design

* Experience with grid connections, substations or utility-scale renewables

* Full UK driving licence

Nice to have

* HV Authorised Person (AP) or Senior Authorised Person (SAP)

* Experience with ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory or IPSA

* Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the IET, or working towards it
