How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    History Teacher, High Wycombe - Buckinghamshire

    Secondary School | History | Teaching Opportunity

    Are you a qualified History specialist looking for your next teaching opportunity? Tradewind Recruitment is working with a secondary school in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, to recruit a knowledgeable and committed teacher who can deliver engaging lessons and help students develop their historical understanding, analytical skills and confidence.

    This opportunity would suit an experienced practitioner or an appropriately qualified teacher looking to develop their career within a supportive secondary setting.

    The Role

    As a History Teacher, you will be responsible for:

    Planning and delivering engaging History lessons across the relevant secondary key stages.
    Teaching historical events, themes and interpretations in line with the curriculum.
    Developing students' source analysis, evidence-based writing and critical thinking.
    Assessing progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching to meet different learning needs.
    Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, participation and academic achievement.
    Contributing to departmental planning and working collaboratively with colleagues.

    What We're Looking For

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate recognised teaching qualification.
    Strong subject knowledge and the ability to communicate historical concepts clearly.
    Experience teaching History at secondary level, with familiarity with the relevant curriculum.
    Effective classroom management and a commitment to positive learning environments.
    A professional approach to safeguarding, assessment and student development.
