How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    EYFS Teacher – Romford

    Location: Romford, East London
    Start Date: Asap

    Supply Desk is seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Romford, starting in September.

The ideal candidate will be confident in planning and delivering activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, helping children build the essential skills and confidence needed for their next stage of learning.

    Responsibilities

    Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework.
    Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and independence.
    Support children's development across all areas of learning, including communication and language, physical development, literacy, and mathematics.
    Use observations and assessments to monitor children's progress and identify individual learning needs.
    Adapt activities to support children of different abilities, backgrounds, and developmental stages.
    Build positive relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about children's progress and development.
    Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other school staff to provide high-quality learning experiences.
    Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and social development.
    Maintain accurate records of children's progress in line with school policies and EYFS requirements.
    Uphold safeguarding procedures and ensure the safety and welfare of all children.
    Requirements

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
    Experience working within an EYFS or early years setting is desirable.
    A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
    A genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development.
    Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
    The ability to create engaging, inclusive, and play-based learning opportunities.
    A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.
    The ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate positively with parents and carers.
    A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
