How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Working as part of the Linx Operations Team, this role focuses on delivering high‑quality administrative and process‑driven support across all business areas. The Business Support Co‑ordinator will work closely with Hiring Managers and Suppliers to ensure efficient workflows, clear communication and consistent service delivery. This opportunity is ideal for someone with established administrative experience who enjoys coordinating multiple priorities and supporting recruitment‑related processes.

    Location and Working Pattern
    This role is based in Wigan and operates as part of our on‑site Linx Operations Team.

    Responsibilities
    Manage and process daily recruitment activity through the digital platform, distributing role requirements to suppliers.
    Monitor shared inboxes and Teams messages to ensure timely, professional responses.
    Check candidate paperwork for completeness and accuracy before submission.
    Capture and analyse key data, supporting the production of reports using internal systems and Excel.
    Maintain reporting trackers and support team meetings and scheduling.
    Liaise with the Linx Finance Team to share updates impacting payroll or invoicing.
    Support onboarding processes and HR coordination to ensure compliance.
    Act as a point of contact for Hiring Managers and Suppliers, attending calls and providing operational updates.Must‑have Requirements
    Previous experience in an administrative or operational support role – this position suits someone with proven office experience.
    Excellent communication skills with a confident, professional telephone manner.
    High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
    Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for video calls and presentations.
    Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.Nice‑to‑have Skills
    Knowledge of the engineering, construction or maintenance sectors.
    Experience in recruitment administration or within a vendor management system.
    Familiarity with payroll and invoicing procedures.
    Understanding of IR35 or compliance processes.Benefits
