Are you a Project Manager, Utilities Inspector or Asset Adoption Engineer looking for a role where you'll take ownership of site quality, resolve issues on the ground, and play a key part in the UK's journey towards net zero?
On offer is an excellent opportunity to join a leading utility infrastructure business in a position focused on inspections, compliance and problem-solving across live construction sites, working closely with external partners and developers.
As a result of continued growth and ongoing projects, they are now looking to add to their Asset Adoption team to ensure new Gas, Water, Electric and Fibre networks are built to the required standards and are ready for adoption.
In this role you will carry out work-in-progress and post-construction inspections, attend site meetings, identify defects and drive them through to closure. You'll also support record and metering queries, contribute to safety reporting, and look for process improvements across the wider business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with utility network knowledge looking to take on a varied, field-based role with real responsibility and long-term development opportunities.
The Role:
Work-in-progress and post-construction inspections across utility sites
Ensure Gas, Water, Electric and Fibre assets are compliant and fit for adoption
Coordinate inspection/installation of complex assets (substations, PRIs, fibre cabinets, gas in flats)
Attend site meetings, manage defects and drive closure with external partners
Permanent role, field-based across the Southampton/Portsmouth area
The Person:
Experience of in progress / post construction inspections for the construction of utility networks
Working knowledge of legislation/standards for at least one utility (Gas, Electric, Water or Fibre)
Basic project management skills and resolving site issues.
Full UK driving licence
Strong communication skills and basic IT skills
