About the role…
As a Senior SHEQ Advisor, you will provide expert guidance, operational leadership, and strategic support to ensure compliance with SHEQ management systems, client requirements, and statutory legislation across a growing portfolio of infrastructure projects. Supporting Parco's expanding Principal Contractor (PC) and Principal Designer (PD) responsibilities under the CDM Regulations 2015, you will play a key role in embedding safe, compliant, and efficient working practices throughout the project lifecycle. Working across active sites nationwide, you will oversee the implementation of pre-construction information, Construction Phase Plans, and site safety controls, while coaching operational teams and promoting best practice through audits, inspections, and ongoing engagement.
You will work with Parco, a specialist infrastructure and civil engineering contractor delivering high-quality turnkey solutions across the UK, with a strong presence in civil engineering, energy networks, and the rapid rollout of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. As an ambitious and rapidly growing business, Parco combines engineering excellence with an uncompromising commitment to health, safety, quality, and environmental sustainability. By challenging risk controls, driving proactive hazard identification, and collaborating closely with project teams and client stakeholders, you will help foster a positive safety culture while supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence across the business.
As a Senior SHEQ Advisor you will…
Provide expert guidance across Principal Contractor and Principal Designer obligations, ensuring rigorous design risk reviews, pre-construction planning, and comprehensive Construction Phase Plans.
Conduct regular site visits, audits, and compliance inspections across UK projects to verify control measures and maintain statutory compliance.
Represent the SHEQ function in client-facing meetings, reviews, and audits, maintaining trusted relationships with client safety teams.
Coach and empower site teams, engineers, and subcontractors, moving safety from a tick-box exercise to an everyday operational mindset.
Assist the Divisional Head of SHEQ with incident investigations, data-driven root cause analyses, compliance reporting, and divisional safety campaigns.
About you…
NEBOSH-qualified (General or Construction Certificate as a minimum), with proven SHEQ experience within infrastructure, civil engineering, utilities, or construction environments.
Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015, including Principal Contractor (PC) and Principal Designer (PD) duties and responsibilities.
Experienced in developing and reviewing Pre-Construction Information, Construction Phase Plans, and design risk management processes.
Confident conducting site audits, inspections, and compliance reviews across multiple live project sites.
Skilled at coaching and influencing project managers, supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors to drive a positive safety culture.
Able to challenge risk controls constructively and promote proactive hazard identification and continuous improvement.
Experienced in incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and SHEQ performance reporting.
Strong communicator with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients, stakeholders, and operational teams at all levels.
Passionate about embedding health, safety, environmental, and quality excellence throughout the project lifecycle, from design through to delivery.
