How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Independent Living Housing Officer
    Location: Central London
    Salary: £32,464 per annum
    Job type: Permanent, Full Time. 37 hours per week.

    Are you passionate about creating safe, welcoming communities? We are looking for an Independent Living Housing Officer to join our team at Grace House. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring building safety, supporting residents, and helping our community thrive.
    About the role:
    As a Service Officer, as you'll be known internally, you will:
    * Oversee building safety and ensure a secure environment for all residents
    * Manage tenancies, including viewings, settling in new residents, and handling sign-ups
    * Conduct fire risk assessments and report on any communal or individual repair requirements
    * Take part in resident meetings and help resolve light anti-social behaviour issues as they arise
    * Provide a friendly, approachable presence onsite, ensuring residents feel supported and valued
    This is a hands-on, on-site role based at Grace House, NW5.
    About you:
    You are a people person who can build rapport and show empathy, while also being confident and robust in your professional relationships. You're enthusiastic, energetic, and ready to make a real difference in the community.
    To succeed in this role, you will need:
    * Experience in tenancy management, including audits and signposting to additional support services
    * A strong awareness of building health & safety issues
    * Ability to work independently, using good initiative and judgement
    * Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with residents and colleagues
    * Awareness of safeguarding issues, proactively ensuring residents are safe and protected
    * Strong written, verbal, and IT skills
