The Opportunity
We are partnering with an established organisation to recruit an experienced FP&A Manager to lead its financial planning and analysis function.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a business undergoing significant finance transformation, with a clear ambition to move towards a more commercially focused, forward-looking finance function.
You will lead a team of five Finance Business Partners, taking ownership of budgeting, forecasting, long-term business planning and financial modelling. You will play a key role in supporting senior leadership with strategic decision-making while developing a high-performing team.
The organisation is investing in new finance systems and ways of working, creating an opportunity to influence how FP&A operates and delivers value across the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of five Finance Business Partners, fostering collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
Own and coordinate the annual budgeting process, ensuring robust financial plans aligned with organisational objectives.
Lead monthly financial monitoring, forecasting and variance analysis, maintaining a strong focus on future performance and emerging risks.
Oversee the development and ongoing maintenance of the organisation's 30-year business plan.
Provide financial modelling, scenario analysis and business case support to directors and the executive leadership team.
Strengthen the quality of financial insight and business partnering, helping stakeholders make informed strategic and commercial decisions.
Work closely with Treasury and Management Accounts to ensure an integrated approach to financial planning and performance management.
Support the ongoing finance transformation, helping embed new systems, processes and improved ways of working.
Drive the evolution of FP&A away from predominantly historical reporting towards proactive forecasting, strategic analysis and value-added activity.
Coach and mentor team members, supporting their professional development and the overall effectiveness of the function.
About You
We are looking for a forward-thinking finance professional with strong FP&A expertise and the leadership skills to drive meaningful change.
You will ideally bring:
Proven experience leading and developing a finance team.
Extensive experience across financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial modelling.
A strong understanding of scenario planning, financial risk and strategic business planning.
The ability to translate complex financial information into clear, commercially relevant insights.
Experience supporting senior stakeholders with business cases and strategic decision-making.
A collaborative leadership style, with a genuine commitment to coaching and developing others.
The ability to lead through change, challenge existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
A proactive, forward-looking mindset with the confidence to influence stakeholders across the organisation.
A strong FP&A background is essential. This role is particularly suited to someone who enjoys looking ahead, challenging assumptions and helping shape business decisions, rather than focusing predominantly on historical management reporting.
