SEN Teaching Assistant - Oxford

We are recruiting five caring, enthusiastic and reliable SEN Teaching Assistants to join specialist special educational needs (SEN) schools across Oxford, including OX2, OX3 and OX4.
No previous SEN experience is essential. We welcome applications from graduates, career changers and candidates with transferable skills who are passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable school-based experience, develop your skills and work towards a permanent position.

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with additional learning needs, helping them access education, develop confidence and build independence.
Responsibilities may include:
Supporting pupils individually and in small groups.
Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning tasks.
Encouraging communication, engagement and positive behaviour.
Supporting pupils with their social, emotional and educational development.
Helping create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.
Working collaboratively with teachers and specialist support staff.
Experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, complex needs or behavioural difficulties is advantageous but not essential.
