Are you a caring, patient and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time role in Kettering?
We are recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within a school in Kettering, Northamptonshire.
Offering £95-£105 per day, this opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning, develop their confidence and reach their full potential.
You will work alongside teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance, encourage positive behaviour and create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Please note: This is a full-time position only, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm.
The Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils where required.
Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning tasks.
Supporting children with a range of additional learning needs.
Encouraging communication, social interaction and independence.
Promoting positive behaviour and classroom engagement.
Helping pupils develop confidence and essential life skills.
Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and behavioural needs where appropriate.
Working collaboratively with teachers and other school staff.
Following school policies and safeguarding procedures.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND, which is desirable.
A patient, caring and understanding approach.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
Confidence adapting to different learning and behavioural needs.
A reliable, professional and proactive attitude.
A genuine commitment to supporting children's development.
Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday.
Experience supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication difficulties or complex learning needs would be advantageous.
