This is a varied position combining sales administration with account management responsibilities. You will act as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring a smooth process from enquiry through to delivery, while building strong, long-term relationships.
The Role
As Sales Administrator, you will provide comprehensive support to the sales function while taking ownership to ensure full compliance with UK regulations. You will act as a central link between sales, purchasing, production, and external regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, acting as the main point of contact
* Process sales orders accurately and efficiently
* Prepare and follow up on quotations
* Liaise with production, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery
* Handle customer enquiries, resolving issues promptly and professionally
* Maintain accurate records on CRM/ERP systems
* Support external sales managers with customer updates and reporting
* Monitor stock levels and delivery schedules
Systems & Stock Management
* Develop working knowledge of the MRP system (currently using 123 Insight)
* Assist with stock level monitoring based on sales forecasts and customer demand
* Support cross-departmental communication between sales, engineering, and operations
General Office Support
* Assist with ad hoc administrative duties
* Provide support to engineering when required
* Coordinate with contractors regarding repairs and maintenance
Qualifications/Experience
* Excellent communicator
* Proactive and a team player
* Understanding on how to use Excel, Word, PowerPoint
* Excellent organisational skills
* Relevant experience within an SME manufacturing facility preferred
* Previous experience in a sales/administrator role
About You

You will have:
* Previous experience in a sales administration, internal sales, or account management role
* Experience within manufacturing, engineering, or a product-based environment preferred
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities
* Good IT skills (Excel, CRM/ERP systems such as SAP or Salesforce desirable)
* Proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Working Hours: -
Monday - Thursday, 7:45am - 4:15pm
Friday, 7:45am - 1:45pm
Pay rate: £14.36
