TeacherActive are proud to be working with a large primary school located in the heart of Pontypool. The school is a positive, happy and fun-filled place where everyone works together to get the best for their children. It recognises that children have different learning styles and they aim to cater for all learning styles during every lesson so that they engage all of their learners. They believe that children learn best in a relaxed yet focused environment, where they are confident to give things a go.
The primary school are looking for a hands on Teaching Assistant who’s passionate about enhancing children’s learning and works collaboratively with other staff members. The role will involve working 1:1 with a child that has ALN working alongside them ensuring they feel supported in their learning, celebrating small wins. The successful candidate will be working full time, 5 days a week and will need to be flexible starting work at 08:30am and finishing at 15:30pm.
The successful Teaching Assistant / TA will have:
Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant / TA qualification OR 6 month experience in an educational establishment
Ability to use your initiative to respond to situations
A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
Excellent verbal communication skills
