Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.
Helping manage challenging behaviour using consistent, positive approaches.
Establishing clear expectations and maintaining appropriate boundaries.
Building positive relationships with pupils who may struggle to engage with education.

Working collaboratively with teaching staff to implement individual support strategies.
Following safeguarding procedures and school behaviour policies.

The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND, SEMH or behavioural needs.
A strong, confident and resilient personality.
The ability to remain calm, patient and professional in challenging situations.
Confidence managing behaviour and maintaining consistent boundaries.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A fair, supportive and adaptable approach.
Reliability, professionalism and a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable pupils.
Full-time availability.
Experience in an SEMH school, alternative provision, specialist education or a similar setting would be particularly beneficial.
Why Consider This Role?
Working in SEMH education can be challenging but highly rewarding. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to pupils who need additional support to overcome barriers to learning and develop positive relationships.
