How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Test Technician

    Location: Dunfermline Fife
    Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday

    The Opportunity

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Test Technician to join an established and growing electronics manufacturing business.
    The company provides specialist electronics manufacturing services, including surface-mount technology (SMT), through-hole (PTH) circuit board assembly and complete product box-build solutions. Its customers operate across a range of technically advanced sectors, including defence, communications, automotive, security and instrumentation.
    This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with an interest in electronics testing and product quality to join a successful business supporting the manufacture of high-quality electronic products.

    The Role

    As a Test Technician, you will contribute to ensuring electronic products meet the required quality and performance standards.
    Working within a manufacturing environment, you will support product testing activities and help maintain the high standards of quality and reliability expected by customers across a range of specialist industries.
    This role would suit someone who enjoys working with technology, has a methodical approach to problem-solving and takes pride in producing accurate, reliable results.

    About You

    We're looking for someone who is:

    Detail-oriented, methodical and committed to quality.
    Interested in electronics, testing and fault-finding.
    Able to follow technical instructions and established procedures.
    A reliable team player with good communication skills.
