How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Teaching Assistant - Immediate Start Available
    Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant available to start work immediately and looking for a full-time opportunity with long-term career prospects?

    We are recruiting a reliable, patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Meldreth, Hertfordshire.

    This opportunity is ideal for someone with previous experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who is ready to take the next step in their career.

    The role is offered on a full-time, temporary-to-permanent basis, with the potential to secure a permanent position and access specialist training and professional development opportunities.

    Please note: This is a full-time position only. Candidates must be available Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:40pm, and have their own transport or reliable daily commuting arrangements, as the school is most accessible by car.

    As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them engage with learning, develop confidence, improve communication and build independence.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Providing tailored support to pupils with SEND.

    Essential Requirements

    Confidence supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.
    Excellent reliability and a professional attitude.
    Full-time availability, Monday to Friday.
    Own transport or reliable daily commuting arrangements.
